In the year 2016, Mr. Marckeil started off by chopping lechon per kilo, and accepted utangs "credit" and house to house delivery. After two years, he realized that allowing others to utang did not do him any good.
Then came along the year 2019. Along with his wife, they finally decided to accept full orders of lechon. On the first week, they only sold over 1-3 lechons. But when the fiesta in their hometown (Baclayon) came, this is when their lives started to change. Orders came rushing in and their business started to come to life and be known throughout the town and to other municipalities in Bohol. Eventually, they added two more food options to their menu — from just serving one whole lechon, they eventually started serving lechon belly and native manok.
While finally receiving a lot of orders and their business starts to be known, a global virus reached hundreds of countries, including the Philippines. It became an obstacle for their business as people started being cautious around other people, even suspecting the pigs might catch the virus. But with strong faith in the Lord and a lot of determination, the business strived, finding their way and beating the obstacle that held them back. And luckily, the virus was not strong enough to beat the Filipino hearts from eating lechon.
And here they are now, serving chopped lechon per kilo, finishing whole lechon orders, delivering them from house to house, selling every native manok there is left. This is El Letsonero's.
